We asked 20 people (10 males and 10 females) to answer questions to see if we needed to make any changes to our film.
The age range of our respondents was 18-51.
Out of the 20 respondents 5 of these were teachers, 10 were students, 3 were retail assistants and 2 were unemployed.
When asked if they liked the story line of our film all of the respondents claimed that they "did enjoy the story line." However 3 people said that it was difficult to understand especially the end credit scene, where the protagonist becomes the boss.
When asked if they believed that the music that we used during the film was suitable for the genre of our film, 18/20 said that they were thought the music was well fitted to our film.
We asked them if they could suggest any films that we could have taken inspiration from for parts of our film and over half of our respondents (14/20) suggested that we had been influenced by Hot Fuzz.
When asked if there was any scene(s) from the film that they liked the most common occurrence was the scene where the protagonist is sat at his desk and then cross cuts to the boss walking down the hallway towards him.
100% of our participants thought that our film was suitable for our target audience of 15-25 years-old
We asked our respondents if they though that any changes could be made to improve our film and they responded that adding sound effects during the shot Ross looks at the text message, due
this being a prolonged shot. They suggested that by adding sound effects to the scene it would break the long silent pause in the film and help it to flow better. They also suggested that during the end scene, where the protagonist frames his boss, could be re-edited so that the shot where the Boss' hand is smashed on the table isn't as messy and unrealistic.
