Both of these radio trailers behave in accordance with the conventions of most other radio trailers. The trailers for Gravity and The Great Gatsby both include:

• A voice over - delivering information about the film to the audience, this is usually provided by a male voice. 

• Star Actors - by including the name(s) of the star actors who feature in the film it gives the production a unique selling point  and gives the audience a motive to watch the film because an actor who they admire stars in it.

•  Quotes from the film - using quotes from the film gives an insight into what genre the film is and allows the audience a glimpse of how the dialogue will flow in the film. In some cases the quotes from the film are what persuades the audience the go and watch the film.

•  Reviews - Including reviews from highly rated critics in the trailer for the radio helps to connote how good the film will be and help the audience decide whether or not they want to watch the film.

•  Music from the film's soundtrack - The music from the soundtrack helps to give the audience a feel of what genre the film will be, as the music from the soundtrack is used in the film to help connote the genre. At the same time using the music from the soundtrack helps to sell both the film and the soundtrack to the audience, because if a peron enjoys the music on the soundtrack the more likely they are to watch the film and buy the album.In our radio advert we will use the main features of both The Great Gatsby and Gravity radio trailers as these were very successful filmas and the radio trailers, both used all of the main key features of radio trailers.

• The names of the actors
•  A voice over 
• Reviews
